Easter in June, Family Fun Day, Summer Recreation and more!
Remember all that rain we had in April? Did you miss out on an egg hunt? Don't fret! Lots going on this weekend and more to look forward to next week, the first full week of Summer!!!
Welcome to the First Edition of Community Current!
We are so glad you are here reading this newsletter. My hope is that it will help us all grow a little closer as a community. We’re lucky to live in the northern part of the state with lots of great local businesses and fun activities. Sometimes it can be hard to know what events are planned and you find yourself hearing about it on socials after the fact.
This newsletter will serve as a resource to all local events (to the best of our abilities). We know that it will just get better over time as we find all the right sources and learn of more and more recurring events around the area.
As we officially enter into summer, tomorrow, we can look forward to many great things to come. Best time to be in our state, am I right?
Please feel free to reply to this email with any local tips and feedback. We look forward to hearing from you.
Here’s what’s happening June 20 - June 22
Weather is in the low to mid 80s with a chance of rain Saturday night and Sunday — would you expect any different at this point?

This walk is part of an ongoing effort to document the fungi growing on land trust properties. Every observation helps build a better understanding of the site—what is present, what is changing, and what might need protection. Hawkins Pond features a mix of woods, wet edges, and historic stonework, providing a range of microhabitats to explore.
We’ll move slowly, look closely, and record what we find. Bring water, sturdy shoes, and any items you'd like to use for observing, such as a camera, notebook, or a dedicated observation app.
All are welcome, no experience needed.
