It's HOT! Smithfield has opened their ice rink as a cooling center Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (June 21-23) from 10a-10p. Anyone is welcome to go hang on the bleachers and cool off. 109 Pleasant View Av, Smithfield

Glocester Town Rec programs kick off with Summer Running, Tennis and Swim Lessons
4th of July celebrations begin this Friday with Music and Fireworks at Glocester Memorial Park

Children of all ages, join us for our Summer Reading kick off event! Drop by between 1pm and 3pm to enjoy life size games, crafts, and snacks. If you haven’t already, sign up for summer reading starting June 2nd!

🖍️ DIY for Kids: Pokémon collages
Best for kids ages 4 - entering grade 5 with an adult caregiver.
Drop-in to get creative and design your own poster using collage. Given recycled pages from Pokémon books that have been removed from our circulating collection due to normal wear & tear, kids can cut and paste to create their own poster to keep and take home. Drop-in style. No registration is needed.

🌼 NATIVE PLANT GARDEN TALK & TOUR
Come celebrate National Pollinator Week at Hope Library with Katie Schortmann, local conservationist and master gardener and Cora Morrigan, library director and environmentalist. Katie will discuss the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem and economy and the role of native plants in providing important nectar sources for pollinators. Cora will walk visitors through Hope Library’s native plant pollinator garden and introduce patrons to beautiful plants that they can use in their own gardens. This program supports the ideas expressed in our June Read More Sustainably Book Club selection, “Nature’s Best Hope”.

Get ready for a Summer Reading kickoff like no other! Join us at the Hope Gazebo in Colvin Park for an unforgettable performance from Circus Dynamics. While you’re there, don’t forget to register your child for our Summer Reading Program for a chance to win one of our many amazing prizes! Looking to get out of the house and do something with your little one?
